Far too many women are dying because they are detecting their cancers at late stages. A mammogram is a safe and effective screening tool that can pick up early cancers or precancerous tumors. The earlier they are detected, the easier, cheaper, and more effective the treatment. If you are age 40yrs or above, it is time to get your annual mammogram. Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) Test
Prostate-specific antigen, or PSA, is a protein produced by normal, as well as malignant, cells of the prostate gland. The PSA test measures the level of PSA in the blood. For this test, a blood sample is sent to a laboratory for analysis. The results are usually reported as nanograms of PSA per milliliter (ng/mL) of blood.
